When Jameis Winston was accused of rape in December of 2012, little was done by the school. The victim was told to not press forward with the charges, and to just let it go. When she pushed the issue forward, the school waited til it was too late to get a DNA test and start the trial. As a result, the victim was forced to back down, meaning that Winston's innocence was never proven.
This petition asks that Florida State University is investigated for failing to protect the victim's rights, and for allowing the students to shame the victim into leaving.
