We ask the international community to investigate the government of Honduras for the embezzlement of public funds that were used to finance the previous electoral campaign. Witnesses are at risk and need to be protected. Evidence needs to be secured in order to avoid destruction or tampering.
Sovereignty should not serve as a shield for the systematic pillage of the governmental institutions by those in charge of preventing it.
The present level of corruption is unsustainable. It is exponentially corroding the foundation of Honduran society which is already experiencing a humanitarian crisis.
