Investigate gross mishandling of HAFA short sales & incompetence of AMS Servicing who acts on behalf of Bank of America.

Created by B.N. on November 09, 2011

Many homeowners with Bank of America mortgages who sought the benefits of a HAFA short sale - a government initiative to lessen the hardship of losing one's home due to financial hardship - were assigned to AMS Servicing to process those HAFA short sales on behalf of Bank of America. AMS Servicing mishandled so many of these transactions thru incompetence & disregard for HAFA program regulations. They caused delays resulting in Short Sale Agreements (SSAs) expiring thru no fault of borrowers. Many SSAs could not be renewed due to AMS not acting in a timely manner or following procedures & HAFA benefits were lost. (IE: renewals of SSAs for Freddie Mac loans must be requested within a certain time frame BEFORE the expiration date). AMS should be made accountable for the harm they've caused!
