DOMA is no longer defended by DOJ per the request of the Executive branch. However, REPUBLICANS and only REPUBLICANS in the House have spent $2,000,000 to defend DOMA discretely as possible through secret meetings. The defense of DOMA is the only thing standing in the way of its failure.
The White House should investigate this process to ensure its legality and call into question the HOUSE'S ability to spend tax payer dollars ($2,000,000) for something that State and Federal governments refuse to defend.
