Investigate how Virginia DOT Contractors are committing fraud & keeping federal money on bridge projects to themselves.

Created by S.B. on January 16, 2013

We ask for the executive branch to investigate Virginia DOT Contractors spending Federal money on Road and Bridge Projects. Their is irregular spending occurring with VDOT contractors. One case in particular is in I-66 in Marshall, VA. A main contractor for a bridge on exit 28 on I-66 that received over 1.4 million in federal money. Make deal to pay 480,000 to subcontracted group however when job is 70% done main contractor only pays workers payroll and doesn't pay subcontracted company or supervisor/foreman. Leaving site supervisor in debt for expenses on project and main contractor keeping federal money to themselves instead of paying crews as agreed. Also on I-64, Main contractor not even paid 13 workers. We ask for a full investigation of how federal money is being spent in VA.
