HSUS and PETA present themselves as caring for animals and lead donors to believe that donations are used to aid homeless and abused animals. In fact most of the animals, over 90%, put in the care of HSUS are killed. The donations go to pay huge salaries and to lobby for laws that have the ultimate goal of making owning any pet animal so onerous that no one will have a pet. Once animals are out of the average person's life it will be easier for them to push legislation that makes it impossible to farm. The current push is to outlaw all pet breeding especially by professional breeders or organizations that use a lot of animals like those for show and field trials. We have laws everywhere that covers "puppy mills." HSUS needs to be made accountable for it's misrepresentations
