Not long ago the Kansas State Supreme Court ruled that Governor Sam Brownback and the Legislature were in violation of the state's constitution by not properly funding the public school system. Recently the Republican controlled legislature and Gov. Brownback has threatened the state courts with cutting all funding if they ruled against the State when it comes to a 2014 law that's been challenged that would give the State direct authority to appoint judges taking away the court's ability to maintain checks and balances with the legislative and executive branches.
I ask that President Obama and the White House to step in to make sure that the rule of law is maintained by keeping courts funded and to investigate the legislature and office of the Governor for any violations and/or crimes.
