Reports are emerging which point to the possibility that local law enforcement officials in Steubenville, Ohio were involved in covering up the rape of a 16 year old girl in their jurisdiction on 8/11/2012. These reports indicate that officials may have been involved in witness tampering, obstruction of justice, destroying evidence and covering up the activities of known or alleged rapists in their community.
Additionally, the victim in question appears to have been moved across state lines for the purpose of drugging her and raping her; and that the local authorities are aware of these Federal offense allegations.
We urge the FBI to investigate the possibility of federal offenses committed by the perpetrators of the alleged rape and to investigate the actions of local officials.
