investigate members of Congress for espionage, a criminal activity chargeable under 50 U.S.C. § 783 and other U.S.laws.

Members of the U.S. Congress engaged in espionage when they illegally received classified U.S. diplomatic information from a foreign Government, and then knowingly and willfully made available this information to unauthorized persons in a manner that prejudiced the interests of the United States for the benefit of that foreign government. They coordinated with the foreign government to use the information to undermine the policies of the U.S. Government. This is criminal activity chargeable under 50 U.S.C. § 783 and other U.S. statutes.
