The Monsanto corporation has a long and well documented history of using government like it's personal piggy bank and Monopoly enforcement arm, getting patents for things have no business being patented, and lying to it's customers about the safety of it's products.
If ever there was a shining example of what it is wrong with the US Government and Corporations Monsanto may be the greatest example.
