Investigate Mylan Pharmaceuticals Price Increases - Epipen 400% price increase

Created by S.S. on August 24, 2016

Mylan has increased the price of it's life-saving device, EpiPen, over 400%. Epinephrine, which is the medication delivered by the EpiPen, counteracts the potentially fatal allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis.

In 2008, prior to Mylan's purchase of the product it was less than $100 for a 2 pack. Currently, the average price is $600 or more for a 2 pack of the auto-injection device.

There is no "generic" device available at a reduced price. Families do not have other options. This price increase will limit access to this lifesaving medication.

We demand Congress investigate these unreasonable price increases and to determine if Mylan Pharmaceuticals is in violation of any antitrust or Federal Trade Commission laws.
