With the recent actions against the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL has admitted that they engaged in illegal and abusive behavior in the negotiations leading up to the collective bargaining agreement, and has punished those teams that did not engage in collusion to depress wages among teams during the uncapped 2010 season. As such, this directly effected the pay of NFL players during the 2010 Free Agency session. We believe the the Justice Department and the National Labor Relations board should investigate and potentially invalidate the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, prohibiting salary caps in punishment for the leagues actions.
