The Obama administration should direct the appropriate agency or agencies to investigate whether the National College Athletic Association's rules regarding amateurism in college sports are consistent with both the letter and spirit of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other other federal labor laws (including the 13th Amendment of the United States Constitution); and whether the NCAA rules are consistent with both the letter and spirit of federal antitrust laws.
