Investigate the NYC ACC for abuse of animals, illegal practices and animal slaughter.

My position is that the NYC ACC is mismanaged, cruel and keeps their shelters in squalid conditions. It also euthanizes innocent animals that could be adopted especially young kittens and puppies. It is lacking a Medical Director and recently 11 Executive Directors have left. It is under the control of the DOH up until this point and badly needs reform, change and humanity. It also permits non veternarians or euthanasia techs to administer euthanasia since it is so understaffed. There is no point in giving out medication when you know that the animal will soon be put on the kill list. Strays are not given enough time to be adopted. Most targeted dogs are pit bulls. Many of their records are inaccurate, there is no spay/neuter program and their funds are not used to help the animal
