Investigate the Obstruction of US Postal Service Workers by SEPTA Law-Enforcement Officers

Created by K.E. on July 29, 2016

On July 27th, a female African-American postal worker for the United States Postal Service was handcuffed and detained during her standard performance of duties by law-enforcement officers of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. The dispute began over parking permissions during the Democratic National Convention, and escalated on behalf of the law-enforcement officials. Despite having the proper paperwork and permits needed to park in that area on that street during the DNC, SEPTA officers forced the postal worker to change parking spots multiple times, blocked her vehicle, prevented her from doing her Federal duties, and then cuffed her. SEPTA and their officers need to be investigated and face justice for obstructing a Federal agent from their duties.
