Investigate the oil companies for possible wrong doing. Prices have soared for no appropriate reason.

I believe the oil companies are not truthful about why the gas prices are so high.I believe that it is pure greed.They needed a way to pay for the new taxes and "WE THE PEOPLE" are footing the bill.I have heard no sensible reason for the increase.Prices will jump .40 or more in a matter of hours.I am not a college educated person,but,i am not naive either.The oil companies are not helping the economy in the long run they are hurting it.If working people spend more money on fuel they have less for the other things that could potentialy boost the economy.I believe the government has a responsibility too step in and say to the oil companies enough is enough.Here are some figures.At 3.699x20 gal=74.00x4=296 a month.At 3.009x20 gal= 60.00x4=240.00 a family can save 672.00 a yr on 1 car.
