Investigate the process of showing/hiding reviews on Yelp and forcing business owners to pay to include good reviews.

Created by J.S. on February 19, 2014

We the small business owners of the United States are sick and tired of Yelp bullying us into advertising with them or else being buried by bad reviews. Yelp used to be "Real People. Real Reviews", but today their "filtering" process is nothing more than a system to hide good reviews unless the company pays to advertise. If you look at most companies with a low rating on Yelp you'll notice they have a number of 4-5 star reviews being hidden in the filtered section. The only way to bring these ratings to the main page and count towards your rating is to pay Yelp. This is corrupt! Yelp is bullying people into advertising, just like the mafia bullied business owners into buying protection. They must be stopped!
