We respectfully petition the President to direct the US Department of Justice to conduct an investigation into seditious acts and high misdemeanors committed by Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform, and elected government officials who signed the"Taxpayer Protection Pledge".
The “Norquist Pledge” promises to "oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rate for individuals and business; and to oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits." This pledge compromises the ability of duly elected governmental officials holding office in or under the government of the United States from undertaking, performing, or executing their trust or duty to the citizens who elected them. Such acts are deemed illegal by the Sedition Act of 1798.
