These laws were quietly passed by republicans in states like PA which prevent voters without valid id from voting. These law are designed to prevent the poor and elderly voters from voting. The reps have demographic data that show that the poor and elderly are less likley to have valid id which would disqualify them from being able to vote in November. The reps already know that the numbers are on their side and that the poor are more likley to vote democratic.
