USA Hockey and affiliates are not following their own guidelines in regards to keeping children safe and investigating bullying allegations. When it was brought to their attention that my son was being bullied not only by his peers but a coach as well they did not suspend this coach as he did not have the proper paperwork as required by USA Hockey. The coach was left unsupervised with a group of kids that have a history of bullying and my son who has a disability was bullied. Furthermore, the coach in chief at Desert Youth Hockey Association in Tempe AZ was recorded saying that "bullying is bullying it happens everywhere." DYHA also kicked my son off the team for my refusual to go against medical advice and put him back with his tormentors.
