Investigate voter suppression, intimidation, discrimination, and fraud in the 2016 Democratic Primary in NC, AZ, & IL

Created by B.L. on March 25, 2016

It is clear that there is an ongoing effort to suppress Democratic and Independent voters in the 2016 Democratic Primary. These issues have been well-documented in Illinois, Arizona, & North Carolina. It is not enough that State leaders promise better conditions in upcoming elections, as millions of votes have been suppressed in this year's Democratic Primary. We call for extended voting for any voter whose vote was unlawfully suppressed, those who were unable to vote due to intimidation or hours-long wait times, and any voter who was forced to use a provisional ballot due to incorrect party affiliation being reported in State databases. We also call for an equitable voting process nationwide, employing either an open-primary voting process, or a semi-closed primary voting process.
