The Westboro Baptist Church has operated as a Baptist 'Church' under false pretenses. The WBC is not affiliated with any Baptist denomination, including the two largest Baptist denominations, the Baptist World Alliance or the Southern Baptist Association.
According to the United States Law Code, the term terrorism means (2) premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups.
The WBC compound is nothing more than a terrorist sanctuary and terrorist sanctuary is defined as (5) an area in the territory of the country—
(A) that is used by a terrorist or terrorist organization—
(i) to carry out terrorist activities, including training, fundraising, financing, and recruitment;
