Investigate whether President-Elect Donald J. Trump is ignorant or malevolent

Created by L.T. on December 04, 2016

An aphorism attributed to Hanlon states that one should "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." When stakes are high, however, such as in the case of the executive branch of the United States of America, such a null-hypothesis requires more significant analysis. While some of President-Elect Trump's behavior can be clearly contributed to either ignorance or malevolence, the source of other behaviors remains less clear. An investigation into the sources of these behaviors will help, in the ignorance case, offer the President-Elect a variety of information sources by which to supplement his education or, in the malevolence case, bolster the US and global public against purposefully devastation of our personal lives, our public lives, and our environment.
