We the people in the State of New Jersey (Newark) has fought hard to get local control of our schools. Our elected school board have no say so within our district. However, Superintendent Cami Anderson who was appointed by Republican Governor Chris Christie. The Governor and his ally do not care about the community opinions and reactions due to school closures. Four African American principals were suspended for speaking out against there school being closed along with others throughout the district. As a result, this decision made by Cami Anderson violates not only the first amendment but the people of the State of New Jersey. The Newark School Board should have say so in the appointment of the superintendent. Ms. Anderson must step down immediately!
