The Invisible Nursing Shortage

Created by W.K. on November 14, 2012

As a Registered Nurse and ordinary citizens, we are consumed everyday about how there is a huge nursing shortage and the projection for years to come. Today, the majority of new graduate RN’s cannot find a job. This has been going on for about five years now. I call it the invisible nursing shortage because although there is a nursing shortage, many cannot obtain work. The common requirement is at least one year of experience. How does anyone gain experience if no one will hire you? Nurses are very important to the healthcare system of the US and I would like for you to implement a program that requires hospitals to have safe staffing levels and to hire nurses that are legally licensed to work without limitations.
