Ahmed Mohamed is a 14 year old who likes to build things and hopes to be an inventor. When he built a clock and took it to school to show his teacher, he was arrested--wearing his NASA tee shirt--- when the teacher mistook it for a bomb.
In a country that has celebrated inventors like Nicolai Tesla (born in Romania) and Steve Jobs (son of Syrian migrants) and Nobel Prize winners like Egyptian born Ahmed Zewail, young inventors like Ahmed should be recognized and enouraged, not arrested.
The President should invite this teenager to the White House and introduce him to an astronaut like Anousheh Ansari (Iranian born American astronaut).
