Americans love sports. It is part of what binds us together as a nation. We love the confrontation, the determination, and watching physically talented individuals give their all against each other. And it has become tradition for our chief executive to acknowledge those athletes and teams that have distinguished themselves in their respective sports. That is why we urge the Obama Administration to join the nation in celebrating the momentous achievement of 8-time Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Champion Joey Chestnut. Given the attention the President has recently bestowed upon members of America's losing soccer team, we feel that the least President Obama could do to celebrate this uniquely American sport is to invite it's all-time champion to visit the White House.
