Invite George Zimmerman, upon his acquittal, to the White House to commend his courage and commitment to public service.

Whereas George Zimmerman placed himself in harm’s way for the public good; and whereas George Zimmerman received only baseless scorn and bigoted abuse as reward for his selfless service; and whereas this abuse was shamelessly and tortiously facilitated by members of the media as well as self-interested groups and individuals; and whereas, among others, it is the purpose of ordaining the Constitution for the United States to establish justice; it is both just and merciful, fitting and proper, that the harm wrought upon George Zimmerman be publicly and unequivocally decried and repudiated on behalf of the people of the United States by that nation's highest officer, the President, as an admonition to the lawless and an exhortation to the meek.
