I, Andrew Kingsbury, implore the President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, to invite Police Officer Robert "Bobby" White of the Gainesville Police Dept to the White House and commend him for his conduct and behavior above and beyond his call of duty.
Officer White proves to be a role model for law enforcement by going beyond his regular duties and responsibilities to engage his community in caring and innovative ways.
There are many other officers just like him that go unnoticed and the leaders of our nation and communities MUST recognize officers like Bobby White - I also petition the President to create a medal/award ceremony for them.
If we don't commend officers like him, only the depraved few that tarnish his uniform will continue to consume the media.
