Invite LTC David Grossman to participate in VP Biden's Task Force on Gun Violence in America

Catastrophic events, such as the Newtown shooting, often are the results of systematic failures across a range of entities. In an effort to address Gun Violence from a RISK mitigation stand point, there are two approaches to reduce risk, 1) reduce the probability of an event occurring and 2) reduce the damage if the event does occurs. Much of what has been debated in public appears to focus on the damage side of the equation while relegating the probability of occurrence to an unattainable ideology. LTC Grossman has unique insight into the psychological enablers and consequences of traumatic events such as the mass shooting at Shady Hook Elementary School that ought to be considered in any comprehensive review of Violence in America.
