Mary Day was apioneer of the civil rights movement. She endured slavery, witnessed the beatings and massacres of civil rights worker, and was arrested for her work in Selma, AL. She is a revered member of the community, devout christian, loving mom/grandmother, awesome storyteller, and she can throw down in the kitchen (Christmas dinner).
