IRAN NUCLEAR TALKS – July 9, 2015
Per John Kerry, the Iran nuclear talks will miss yet another deadline. “We will not be rushed” he is quoted as saying.
It is time to acknowledge that the Iranians do not want a treaty. They agree on issues only to later renege on their agreements and create new demands. It is time to say these delaying tactics will not work and walk away from the talks. Instead, negotiate increased sanctions with other interested countries and freeze what remaining Iranian assets within our reach. Saber rattling may also encourage Iran to seek a treaty agreeable to all. Iran will not agree to a treaty that in their eyes seem more important to us than to themselves.
