We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

IRS Tax Credit ($100.00) for American citizens who vote in federal elections

Created by D.F. on November 26, 2016

I strongly support all steps to take to make voting trouble free. In addition to Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D-MA) bill to make Election Day a federal holiday, the IRS Federal Tax code should treat all Americans like the top 1%.

Congress should introduce a tax provision, to help all Americans, that gives all people who vote in a federal election a One Hundred dollar ($100.00) tax credit on their individual income tax for voting in all federal elections.

A $100.00 tax credit would immediately increase voter turn out by 50% up to a 70% participation rate nation-wide. Then we would have a truly representative government by the people. Of course, the act of voting would produce proper receipt to file with an individuals federal tax return, to verify the vote and prevent fraud.
