isolate and quarantine heroin addicts by executive order for the safety of the public.

Created by R.C. on October 11, 2015

Heroin and opiate addiction is a plague upon our society, destroying lives and tearing apart families. A person who becomes addicted to this substance will lie, steal, prostitute themselves, whatever it takes to get more of the drug. We have the power to treat these people the same way we would treat someone with a contagious disease through executive order.

Our current system allows addicts years of going through the criminal justice system to exhaust their rights. During this period of time the addict will continue to use and become more addicted. Meanwhile, families are destroyed and our public resources are exhausted. Sadly, many will never overcome this plague. We must isolate, quarantine, and council these people the same way we do for those suffering from infectious disease.
