Federal employees possess skills and knowledge that are transferable to any job; that’s what we are told. However, I’ve been seeking employment in another state without success for years. Even when I’m willing to take a lower grade level (less salary), I'm clearly qualified for applied jobs and explain personal reasons for my move, I can’t get a job in another state.
Veterans get “points” to get ahead in the hiring process, people with disabilities too have special aids, and kids just graduated from college are landing highly paid jobs (without any experience). Something is WRONG with the federal hiring process when feds with experience already in the system can’t move around with their skills where the jobs are.
