During the war in Vietnam our service men and women were exposed to the deadly toxin Agent Orange. More Vietnam Veterans have died from the effects of this chemical than all the servicemen and servicewomen who were killed in Vietnam. After 50 plus years we continue to ask to have this medal awarded to Vietnam Veterans who served in country and were exposed to AO repeatedly.
In WW1 and WW2 servicemen were awarded the PH for exposure to toxic gases used by both sides. In the Gulf War servicemen were awarded the PH for brain injuries from IED's.
We served with honor and ask to be awarded this medal for the deadly effects we have suffered for 50 years before we all die. Put an end to the DOD refusing to honor us with this earned medal. Do it before we all die, please.
