Mr. President has the authority to bypass the politics of the Congress to issue an executive order to ban assault weapons.
Today's tragedy was the result of all of us adults who failed to protect our children by allowing assault weapons to be so accessible.
No one needs a semi-automatic rifle to protect themselves. Let's not let the dysfunctional congress debate this issue then do nothing. Let's end it today.
