This petition urges the president to issue an Executive Order, on national security grounds, to ban all automatic and semi-authomatic weapons, which pose an immediate and clear danger to all Americans. Congress's failure to act to protect the American people should not preclude the executive from using its extraordinary powers to ban arms that have the sole purpose of murdering dozens of innocent citizens.
