In more than half of the states it is still legal to fire an employee based solely on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
We the undersigned implore President Obama to Issue an Executive Order banning this form of discrimination for all LGBT residents and citizens of the United States and our Territories.
We believe that decisions in employment; i.e. hiring, firing, promotions, job transfers, etc. should be made based on the merits and abilities of employees and not on the basis of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
