issue an executive order banning the requirement of an unconstitutional stamp on absentee ballots in federal elections.

Created by H.M. on December 10, 2014

The requirement of voters to place stamps on absentee ballots represents an unconstitutional barrier to voting. This requirement violates the 24th Amendment ban on poll taxes in all elections. Why is it that you can register to vote and request an absentee ballot without a stamp, but you cannot submit a ballot without a stamp? The 24th Amendment was ratified to combat discriminatory and racist barriers to voting created by states to drive down voter turnout. The requirement of a stamp constitutes a similar barrier to voting which prevents countless potential voters from accessing the polls. We need the President to address this essential issue before the next national election so that all citizens may exercise their constitutional right to vote.
