issue an executive order to the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to use one common form for health records.

Created by J.C. on October 09, 2015

The Departments of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) continue to delay and fail in developing and implementing a joint virtual electronic health record for servicemembers who transition into veteran and military retiree status.

The differences in formats between the military and the VA for the same information requires the new veteran to refile with the VA, and significantly delays healthcare and compensation benefits.

As the Administration only has roughly one year left in office, and the President has ended the war in Iraq and curtailed the war in Afghanistan, we call on the President to issue this executive order to the DoD and VA to resolve this continuing problem before he leaves the office of the Presidency.
