Issue an executive order ending the administrative discharge of transgender service members from the military.

Created by M.D. on November 22, 2012

Transgender service members must suffer in silence with a life threatening medical condition or face an administrative discharge. Issuing an executive order for recension of this regulation wouldn't cost the taxpayer anything and would actually save the cost of loosing otherwise qualified service members. Transgender service members in several allied militaries serve with distinction without any adverse effect on readiness. It is unconscionable to open military service to LGB members while leaving the T out in the cold. This is especially egregious when the suffering due to dysphoria is taken into account.
