American citizens should not face the threat of arrest by armed federal agents for defaulting on a federal student loan. Unless an individual is suspected of committing fraud, there is no justifiable reason for an arrest and added fines. We the People of the United States, petition the Obama Administration to consider ending this practice by executive order. The department of education should consider other means of collecting payment. (wage garnishment, tax refund offsets, debt consolidation programs etc.) The United States has bailed out Wall St. and other corporations--now it is time to do the same for those seeking an education.
