Kildare's Irish Pub is being closed for financial reasons. This injustice will not be tolerated. The people of Columbus demand that Kildare's remain open regardless of the profitability of the business. Kildare's is a beacon of hope to weary college students as well as slightly older, but not creepy older, residents of the Columbus area. Kildare's is also a symbol of the struggle that Irish immigrants endured during their assimilation into American culture. In addition, Kildare's is one the few bars in Columbus where the worm is not only tolerated, but encouraged. We ask that the federal government intervene in this matter and appoint Gene Kildare as CEO of Kildare's Irish Pub.
