Issue an Executive Order to Prohibit the Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages on all Government Aircraft.

Created by J.D. on January 30, 2013

Reports of alcohol consumption by Senators and Congressmen are reported by the U.S. Air Force as being significant, amounting to many thousands of dollars annually. This cost is borne by tax payers and is now reportedly unregulated. It's reported that one senior Congresswoman has ordered bottles of specific liquors be provided by the Air Force for trips that included family members and others who consume only portions of those containers during the trips but the cost unreimbursed by the Congresswoman. The annual cost of liquor is reported to be several hundred thousand dollars per year. Though a relatively small dollar amount, this behavior is counter to standards for other government employees and should be eliminated. Elected officials are on duty while traveling on USAF aircraft.
