We believe when Government chooses to shut down for failure to do their jobs that Congress shall receive NO pay and allowances. It is appalling to think the US Military may or not receive their pay should another Government shutdown occur. Furthermore, if I do not do my job, I will not be paid, so why should US Congress be any different?
President Obama: We would urge you to issue an executive order that whenever there is a US Government shutdown, that US Congress shall NOT receive any pay and/or allowances. This pay should be lost forever, not rolled over and paid retro active when the Government resumes the people business.
