President Obama should issue a executive order directing the Justice Department to no longer reduce, plea bargain or agree to lesser charges and sentencing when prosecuting cases involving the possession and use of firearm by felons.
All currently proposed legislation and executive orders infringe on law abiding citizens' 2nd Amendment rights and we have laws in place that are meant to limit the access to firearms by criminals. An executive order directing full prosecution on the illegal possession of a firearm under existing laws will overtime reduce the criminal use of firearms while protecting the rights of the law abiding citizen. Send a message there will be zero tolerance for a felon possessing or using a firearm.
