Issue an Executive Order requiring the Departments of HHS & Ed to streamline paperwork around Medicaid and IDEA.

States, school districts, and educators are confronted with a myriad of federal requirements and mandates when providing services to children with disabilities. Often data collected for one mandate is not acceptable for another. The federal Departments of Health & Human Services and Education are the primary sources of these conflicting mandates. It is estimated that up to 20% of an educator's time is spent on complying with federal mandates and NOT on the provision of direct services to children.
