Issue an Executive Order requiring the FCC and DOJ to Investigate False or Miss-Leading Statements on the Public Record

Created by R.M. on June 07, 2012

The Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Justice to monitor, detect and prosecute Members of Congress and the Media of making and/or promoting false and miss-leading statements on the public record.

Members of Congress should be held to the highest standards of ethical conduct. Which includes making accurate and truthful public statements on the record in print, over the public airwaves, on the cable network and via the internet. This should include public speeches, email and traditional mail correspondence, Op-Ed pieces, news interviews, campaign rallies, political news letters, campaign web sites and blog posts and all dialog conducted on the floor of both houses of congress.

Democracy works best when truth is a requirement of public discussion of public policy.
