We, the undersigned strongly support requiring corporations along with their senior executives and officers that bid for government contracts to disclose their contributions and spending that could reasonably be expected to be used for electioneering purposes. Americans have a right to know that government contracts are being awarded based on merit, not money.
During your State of the Union address, you hit the nail right on the head when you said, “With each new campaign season this dark money floods our airwaves with more and more political ads that pull our politics into the gutter.”
Dark money makes politicians beholden to their donors rather than WE THE PEOPLE. Use your power to shine a light on the dark money that is tainting our democracy.
